The following is an excerpt from a review by Rosco Benson, posted 11/14/99 on the Gunspot forum. www.gunspot.com Tony Kanaley asked me to check out the newly designed CC-AT holster he had sent to my friend, Rick Miller. I got a chance to see it today and, while Rick will doubtless write up the holster for his COMBAT HANDGUNS magazine product sidebar, I'll provide a sneak preview. The holster (which has been approved for IDPA use) is more |

"pancake", but still has a familial
resemblance to its ancestor and inspiration, the 1-AT. Like the 1-AT, it
uses the adjustable tension welt. This arrangement permits a portion of
the welt of the holster to set, via a low-profile screw, to, bear
against the bottom of the pistol's slide, near the muzzle. This
adjustment permits the user to set the tension to his liking and to
compensate for wear over the life of the holster. Since the tension welt
is near the muzzle of the pistol, the tension it adds is overcome very
early in the initial movement of the pistol out of the holster.
While I would class the the holster as belonging to "pancake" genre, it avoids some of the pitfalls of that type. The back side of the holster is formed of two layers of leather and is quite resilient and, more or less, flat. The holster pouch is then formed, out of thin, dense leather on this platform. The result is a holster which can conform to the curve of the hip, between its widely spaced belt slots, but not collapse when the gun is withdrawn. Like all of the holsters offered by Sparks, the CC-AT allows a full firing grip to be established on initial hand/gun contact and its combination of one sight track "strip" and the detailed molding keep the front sight from dragging on the leather....Rosco |

| The
CC-AT (Concealed Carry-Adjustable Tension) comes with a
muzzle to the rear (FBI) cant. We do not anticipate making this holster for
all the different makes and models of semi-autos, because the tension
welt does not lend itself well to certain guns. To date, we have
patterns for the 1911 (and all the variants), Glocks (sorry, not available for
the models 26/27) and Browning Hi-power. Model: CC-AT, Price $110 Options available: (add to above price)
