Here at Milt Sparks, we are dedicated to producing practical designs for everyday use. Our products are handcrafted to please even the most discriminating individual for whom pride of ownership dictates that he or she has only the best. Because the bulk of our business is concealed-carry oriented, we feel it's imperative that we be able to discuss the merits of our products from experience. Being both shooting enthusiasts and licensed to carry in the state of Idaho, my crew and I are able to run continuous evaluation of our |

products through training, competition and
everyday use. Each new design is extensively wear-tested by my staff and
myself in the manner it will be used before it is offered to you. We
will not produce a design that we feel may endanger the safety of our
customers, or compromise the intended purpose of carry just to make a
sale. As a customer you are important to us. Our advice if solicited, is
intended to help you make an informed decision based on our experience
as shooters and users of our product. Many people visiting with us for the first time
are unaware how small an operation Milt Sparks Holsters is (7 employees
as of November 2009). Milts immense popularity with the combat
pistol-shooting crowd of the late 60’s and 70’s, distinguished him
such, that he could have taken the business in any direction he had
chose. He opted to keep the business small and personal with emphasis on
quality and practical design, a philosophy we adhere to today. Though
Milt retired from the day-to-day business of making holsters back in
1981, the craftsmen that have comprised Milt Sparks Holsters have always
been dedicated to carrying on the tradition he began. Unlike with other
shops where an employee is responsible for only a certain sequence in
the production process, each item we produce is made from start to
finish by a single craftsman. We feel that by producing our product in
this fashion exemplifies the pride and extra care the craftsmen at Milt
Sparks take in seeing the project through to the end. My own history with Milt Sparks began when I came
to work for him in 1983. As
the result of the success of several of my earlier designs such as the
model #60TK, I was eventually offered a full partnership in the
business. In 1990 we incorporated under the name Milt Sparks Holsters,
Inc. and the business was moved from Idaho City to Boise.
Milt and I remained close friends and business partners up till
his death in 1995 at the age of 78. As always, we welcome and appreciate any and all
comments. Thank you for your interest in our company,
President, Milt Sparks Holsters, Inc. |

Nick, Jim, Tony, Scott and Marty Not pictured below are Dave and Graham. For our old customers who might remember a guy by the name of "Dave" answering the phone when calling to place an order. Dave, is the original shop manager for Milt Sparks Holsters, who worked with Milt in the 70's and through much of the 80's. We are happy to have him back! |
